The man was responsible for the foundation's funds. Between 2021 and 2024, he transferred money to his own account 19 times, wrote the newspaper Mitti.
The verdict from the Stockholm District Court states that the man's finances were strained and that he had begun investing in cryptocurrency.
The man has admitted what happened but denies any wrongdoing and has said that he only borrowed the money.
He has continuously paid it back, but most of it only after the crime was revealed.
The court took into account the repayments and the man's age. He received a suspended sentence and a 30-day fine.
He will also have to pay back the last of what he stole - 4,999 kronor - as damages.
