According to witness accounts, it was a man in his 70s who was kicked in the head, among other things, police spokesperson Fredrik Svedemyr says.
When the man arrived at the hospital, he was seriously injured, but his condition was assessed as stable, according to an official on standby at the Västra Götaland Region.
Two people, a man aged 65 and a woman aged 75, have been arrested. The injured man is suspected of attempted assault and insult.
