A man in his 80s has died in a traffic accident in Ängelholm, according to the police website.
The man and a 55-year-old woman were hit by a car while walking on the sidewalk near the central station, reports Helsingborgs Dagblad.
The man ended up under the car, which came to a stop after colliding with a tree, says Mattias Johansson, duty officer at the rescue service, to HD.
According to the police website, the woman was lightly injured.
The driver is not believed to have been injured in the accident. According to the police, it is a woman in her 85s. The accident is classified as reckless driving, causing bodily harm and causing another person's death.
The accident occurred on Wednesday afternoon.
