The fire was reported at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The man was found dead in the home during the firefighting efforts.
"As far as I can see, the fire was limited to that apartment," says police spokesman Gabriel Henning.
The cause of the fire is unknown and will be investigated by the police.
