The police were called to the scene at 2:30 p.m.
The car, driven by a man in his 80s, is said to have crashed into the truck.
A total of three people were involved in the accident. A second person travelling in the car was taken to hospital by ambulance. There are no reports of any serious injuries in that case, according to police.
