Elvan: 1 Robin Olsen – 2 Hjalmar Ekdal, 4 Isak Hien, 5 Gabriel Gudmundsson – 7 Emil Holm, 20 Hugo Larsson, 14 Anton Salétros, 18 Yasin Ayari, 13 Ken Sema – 10 Benjamin Nygren, 11 Anthony Elanga.
Isak Hien and Gabriel Gudmundsson have played several matches together in Jon Dahl Tomasson's backline and this time Hjalmar Ekdal gets the chance next to them.
”Haft bra tid”
”He had a long period of injury absence in Burnley, but has since had a good time on loan to Groningen. He gets the chance at this level now.”
In midfield, Hugo Larsson, Anton Salétros and Yasin Ayari start.
”Hugo has made a great season in Frankfurt. He has only been available five of twelve matches for us and he has played in four of them. I really look forward to seeing Hugo from the start.”
Nygren starts again
Benjamin Nygren starts again, now in his third international match.
”Benjamin played very well in March and we have seen that he does very well in the club. It's one of the advantages when we follow the players so closely. Anthony wants us to run and threaten a lot in depth behind Hungary's backline. In Forest (Nottingham) he plays as one of two forwards, sometimes as a winger, sometimes as a lone central forward so he is used to different roles,” says Jon Dahl Tomasson.
The team is tactically focusing on a lower starting position.
”We started the Nations League by being extremely forward-oriented, to press to find all the opportunities to win the ball high up. And we know now that it works very well. Now we want to add another layer to our defensive play. We will mostly stand lower, with a five-backline and try it.”
The kick-off is at 19.30 on Puskás Aréna. Atilla Karaoglan, Turkey, is the referee.
