At least eight people have died in Israeli attacks on Gaza on Sunday, according to the civil defense in the Hamas-controlled area.
A spokesperson says that dozens have also been injured in airstrikes on different parts of the Gaza Strip. Among the dead is a 17-year-old boy, and among the injured, the majority are said to be children.
Gaza is ruled by the terrorist-designated Hamas, whose large-scale attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, triggered the ongoing Gaza war.
Israel resumed its warfare against Hamas on March 18 after a period of ceasefire. According to Gaza's Hamas-controlled health department, which does not distinguish between civilian and military casualties, nearly 51,500 people have been killed since the outbreak of the war.
