In one accident, a bus crashed into a guardrail and overturned on the outskirts of Antalya.
According to Antalya Governor Hulusi Şahin, road conditions were slippery and foggy at the time of the accident. At least nine people are reported to have died and 25 are reported to have been injured, seven of them seriously.
A second accident occurred on the highway north of Antalya, near Burdur, where seven people are reported to have died and five are reported to have been injured.
There is currently no information on whether foreign citizens are among the dead or injured.
