In total, EIB has now contributed financing of over 12 billion kronor to the project.

The expansion of the metro in Stockholm is one of the EU-financed infrastructure projects in Sweden. The construction includes three new stretches, covering approximately 30 kilometers of new tracks. The project is being implemented in Stockholm, as well as in the surrounding municipalities of Nacka, Solna, and Järfälla.
