The president of the Egyptian Football Association, Hany Abu Rida, has filed a formal complaint with FIFA after Tuesday's 3-2 loss to Argentina.
A statement referred to "the serious refereeing errors committed by the refereeing team and the double standards" that it believes caused Egypt's exit from the World Cup.
Several decisions in the round of 16 angered Egypt's players and management, including a disallowed goal and a missed penalty. Argentina overturned a 2-0 deficit to win 3-2 in extra time.
Egypt is demanding that referee Letexier, the assistant referees and the video referees be investigated "due to the obvious errors and because they insisted on not reviewing certain images," it says.
