The Swedish sci-fi film took home the victory among a total of 135 films screened at the festival and for which the audience was able to vote.

In "Egghead Republic," Ella Rae Rappaport plays a young club girl and illustrator who is hired by a newspaper to investigate rumors of unicorns in a future, nuclear-bombed Kazakhstan.
