The American efficiency agency Doge is being shut down prematurely, Reuters reports.

It doesn't exist, Scott Kupor, director of the US Office of Personnel Management, told Reuters earlier in November.

Kupor then added that Doge is not a “cohesive unit.”

Doge was formed at the beginning of the year when Donald Trump was re-installed as president with the goal of cutting government spending, and was initially led by Tesla owner Elon Musk.

This has led, among other things, to the closure of the American development agency USAID.
