Simon Edvinsson is the Swedish defenseman of the day in NHL. The Halland native scored two of Detroit's three goals when the team won away against Minnesota with 3–2.
Minnesota led by two goals after the first period, Detroit had no luck in front of the goal. But in the second, Detroit reduced the lead through Vladimir Tarasenko, assisted by Erik Gustafsson, and then Simon Edvinsson equalized.
In the third period, Edvinsson decided the game with his second and Detroit's third goal, on a pass from Albert Johansson.
An incredible pass, says Edvinsson to reporters after the game.
We played fantastically.
