The 23-year-old Stockholm native will play hockey player Luca Haas in season two of the steamy Canadian television series, according to a press release from Warner Bros. Discovery.
The series, which is about a secret romance between two male ice hockey players, became a worldwide hit last year and is based on a book series by author Rachel Reid.
Season two is set to premiere on HBO Max in spring 2027.
Edvin Ryding is known for his roles in "Mother Goose" and "Young Royals", among others.
