Brazil's Supreme Court on Tuesday sentenced Eduardo Bolsonaro, son of former President Jair Bolsonaro, to over four years in prison for urging the United States to impose sanctions on Brazil.
The calls were made in connection with his father's trial. His father was sentenced to 27 years in prison for trying to stage a coup after his election loss in 2022.
Eduardo Bolsonaro is also barred from holding public office for eight years following the sentence.
