Edmonton Nears Stanley Cup Final After Defeating Dallas 4-1

Edmonton is just one win away from a new Stanley Cup final in ice hockey after defeating Dallas 4–1 in the fourth semi-final. Even though we lead 3–1, there is still a lot of work left to do, says goalkeeper Stuart Skinner.

Skinner has a big part in Edmonton's progress in the semifinals. The team has won three straight matches and Skinner has only let two pucks past him during that time.

The 26-year-old Canadian takes nothing for granted, despite Edmonton being able to secure a spot in the Stanley Cup final as early as Friday night.

It's easy to talk non-stop about how fantastic the team is. So even if we're up 3–1, there's still a lot of work to be done, says Stuart Skinner to nhl.com about the opposition.

Last season, Edmonton made it to the final, but lost to Florida in a series that went all the way to seven matches.

Dallas, on the other hand, has a lot to think about. If they're going to turn things around, the team needs to start scoring goals. In the last three matches, the goal difference is 13–2 in favor of Edmonton.

It feels like we're doing everything right except scoring. I think we deserve a little better, but the playoffs don't necessarily care about what you deserve, or do they? You simply have to make sure the puck bounces your way, says Dallas forward Tyler Seguin.
