Eddie Howe has recovered after pneumonia and is well enough to return to his job as Alexander Isak's and Emil Krafth's manager in Newcastle.

He did his first training in a while on Thursday, the club announced in a statement.

Howe was taken to hospital after feeling unwell for a time. It turned out that he had contracted pneumonia and was admitted for care. Howe missed three of the team's Premier League matches, against Manchester United, Crystal Palace, and Aston Villa.

Newcastle is fifth in the table and is involved in the battle for a Champions League spot this fall.

On Saturday, Ipswich awaits at home.
