The statistics show, among other things, a second-hand boom, with e-commerce increasing by more than 24 percent compared with last year.
"The rapid growth in second-hand shows that Swedes are changing their consumer behavior, at the same time as new platforms are becoming increasingly popular," writes Jonas Hagelqvist, CEO of the Swedish Transport Companies, in an email to TT.
In addition, the proportion of packages sent by Swedish e-commerce companies to private individuals abroad has increased by more than 23 percent compared with last year.
The Parcel Index is produced by the Swedish Transport Companies and collects statistics from carriers such as DHL and Postnord.
