E-commerce Grows 9 Percent in Q1 Despite Market Concerns

E-commerce increased by 9 percent during the first quarter, according to Postnord's e-commerce barometer. The increase is the highest since the pandemic year 2021.

Seven out of eight industries show growth. Pharmacy sales increase by 24 percent and construction sales turn upwards by 8 percent, showing the first positive quarter in three years, writes Postnord in a press release.

"E-commerce is doing well despite a world characterized by geopolitical tensions. The fact that growth is this strong shows that digital commerce has a solid anchor in Swedish consumers' daily routines", says Ylva Staszewski, acting head of the Package business area at Postnord Sweden, according to the press release.
