The WHO has released new estimates of the Ebola mortality rate specifically for the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The statistics show that the mortality rate may currently be significantly lower than in previous Ebola outbreaks.
At the same time, the WHO warns that the spread of the infection is greater than previously known.
Meanwhile, the border between Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo has been closed. So far, seven cases of Ebola have been reported by Uganda's Ministry of Health, including one death.
At least 220 people have died in the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo - and at least 1,000 suspected cases have been reported.
