The number of confirmed Ebola cases in the Democratic Republic of the Congo has risen to 710, Reuters reports. Of those, 149 people have died.
The World Health Organization (WHO) sounded the alarm on Friday, saying the outbreak in the northeastern part of the country is spreading to more areas, both in case numbers and geographically.
To combat the outbreak, the WHO has launched an effort worth the equivalent of almost five billion Swedish kronor.
