Andersson, with her first Olympic gold medal around her neck, sang along to the Swedish national anthem while the Swedish flag was raised in the Roman amphitheater.
After the dramatic crash in the relay, she came back, was overwhelmingly superior, and won Sunday's 5,000. She finished 2 minutes and 15 seconds ahead of Norway's Heidi Weng.
Andersson, who with her three silvers had already been on the podium three times during these games, is the first Swede ever to take home gold in the women's 5,000.
The 28-year-old also carried the Swedish flag during the closing ceremony, which began with Italian opera and ended after the Olympic flag was handed over to the organizers of the next Winter Olympics in the French Alps.
