Last season, Ebba Andersson competed in four out of seven World Cup weekends and the Tour de Ski ahead of the World Championship.

Exactly how the schedule looks this year and which weekends she will compete, she does not disclose. But the idea is to compete in the Tour de Ski, around New Year, one month before the Olympic Games.

Then we will see, things can always happen that make you have to correct your plan. But the idea is to be able to do as last season, where I fulfilled the plan to the point and dot until the World Championship, she says.

The buildup yielded results. In Trondheim, she took three gold medals in four races. However, she lacks an individual Olympic medal.

Were it to turn out that it is enough for a silver, it would still have been better than what I have ever managed. But when I stand at the start, gold is the top priority, says Andersson.

The cross-country skiing in the Olympic Games begins on February 7.
