Last week, GameStop made an offer to eBay shareholders that would have consisted of half cash and half shares in GameStop, valuing eBay at $125 per share.
The total market capitalization of GameStop is currently around $10 billion, just a quarter of eBay's.
From an investment perspective, there has been great skepticism about the deal, as it has not been clarified how GameStop could finance it.
