Eastern Cuba has been hit by a power outage. Four provinces, including the country's second-largest city, Santiago de Cuba, are without electricity.

"Right now, the provinces of Holguín, Granma, Santiago de Cuba and Guantánamo are without electricity," state-owned UNE reports on X.

Cubans are not used to long power outages. They are often due to outdated infrastructure and fuel shortages.
