The big travel day before the Easter weekend has been accident-prone. Several traffic accidents have occurred around the country with traffic congestion as a result.

On E22 between Ronneby and Karlskrona, two cars have overturned, reports P4 Blekinge. The road is completely closed and there are long queues during the late afternoon. The extent of the damage is still unclear.

An accident occurred at 3 pm on E18 in Västerås, where several vehicles were involved and the accident had a significant impact on traffic. In the morning, a truck collided with a passenger car very close to the same location on E18. The truck driver received a fine for causing the accident when he changed lanes.

Along E6 between Helsingborg and Halmstad, two accidents occurred after 4 pm with several vehicles involved. The Swedish Transport Administration writes that there will be significant traffic disruptions during the afternoon.

There are also queues in northern Halland after several incidents south of Gothenburg.

On county road 301 at Rättvik, an accident occurred between two passenger cars at 3 pm, which has had a significant impact on traffic, writes the Swedish Transport Administration.

It's not just traffic accidents that are affecting traffic. Roadwork is also underway in several parts of the country, writes the Swedish Transport Administration.

During the day, there have been queues on E4 between Norrköping and Linköping, as a truck trailer blocked Norsholmsbron in the southbound direction, which was followed by a kitchen fire, according to the police.

On E4 in the northbound direction in Skillingaryd, a passenger car and a truck collided during the morning, reports the police. Four people were in the vehicles, but no one is said to have suffered life-threatening injuries. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
