Shortly before 8 am, around six cars crashed on the E4 highway near the Glädjen traffic intersection in Upplands Väsby, reports P4 Stockholm.
Several cars are said to have required towing and the road was closed at 8:20 am in the direction of Uppsala from Stockholm, according to the radio.
Traffic was diverted via a roundabout, but by 9:45 am, traffic had been allowed to pass again, according to the Swedish Transport Administration's traffic information.
