We need a crane truck to remove the median barrier that has been knocked down and is lying across the road, says Peter Jonsson, press communicator at the Swedish Transport Administration.
Once the car has been recovered, one lane will open northbound. The southbound direction will not open until the evening.
Traffic is being diverted via roads 17 and 23, says Jonsson.
A person who was in the car was taken to hospital by ambulance. The person was awake and able to speak, reports Sydsvenskan.
