Timber has had an injury-filled spring, but was back in the Champions League final the other week when he came on and played for almost an hour.
The joy was short-lived for Timber.
With a couple of hours left until the Netherlands' World Cup qualifier against Uzbekistan in New York, news came that Timber had been forced to leave the squad. Lutsharel Geertruida of Sunderland is replacing him.
The Netherlands are in Sweden's group in the World Cup and face Blågult in the second match, in Houston on Midsummer's Day.
