Duplantis has attempted the world record height of 6.32 in the last two Diamond League meets, both of which he won, without success.
When the Weltklasse is decided, it will be the third time Duplantis has won it, and his latest world record came at his own competition at home in Uppsala in March.
There has been no world record set outdoors in 2026.
Duplantis has recently been challenged by Greece's Emmanouil Karalis and, in the most recent competition in Poland, also by Norway's Sondre Guttormsen.
A fact that cuts both ways for Duplantis.
"It's fun, I get pressured and people like it. But it also makes the competitions longer and I have to do more jumps," he says.
