Armand Duplantis took home the Diamond League final in Zurich, Switzerland, hardly surprisingly. But without impressing. It was a bit tough, says "Mondo" in SVT's broadcast.

Duplantis started at an unusually low 5.50, and won the competition at 6.00.

I'm just happy that I could win and that was the most important thing ahead of the World Championship, said the Swede and continued, about the low starting height:

It didn't feel that good, to be honest. I don't feel that good right now. The wind wasn't entirely perfect either.

Emmanouil Karalis came in second at the same height, but since the Greek cleared the height on his third attempt, Duplantis won his fifth consecutive Diamond League final.

The Swede failed to clear 6.10.

"Mondo", who has not lost a competition in over two years, has already set three world records this year. The most recent one at 6.29 in Budapest earlier in August. With the win, Duplantis also took home a prize of 478,000 kronor.

The World Championship in Tokyo begins on September 13 and Duplantis competes in the qualifying round the same day. The final is two days later, on September 15.
