Duplantis receives medal from the King

Armand Duplantis' trophy cabinet is already well-stocked – and now he can add another fine distinction.

The pole vault star is awarded His Majesty the King's Medal for merits in Swedish sports.

In addition to Duplantis, seven more people will receive the medal, for outstanding achievements in their respective sports.

It concerns the world number one in show jumping, Henrik von Eckermann, the former cross-country skiers Thobias Fredriksson and Björn Lind, the skier and canoeist Helene Ripa, the discus thrower Daniel Ståhl, the football icon Marta, and the floorball player Anna Wijk.
