At last year's gala in Stockholm, "Mondo" set a world record, and he now dreams of repeating that success.
"Last year was magical and I hope we can have a similar experience together on June 7th," says Duplantis in a press release.
Just last week, the 26-year-old set his 15th world record when he cleared 6.31 meters at the Mondo Classic in Uppsala. This weekend, he will compete in the World Indoor Championships in Torun, Poland.
One person who has already been confirmed for this summer's big athletics gala in Stockholm is Andreas Almgren, who set a European record in the 5,000 meters last year. This year, the running star will instead run 1,500 meters in front of his home crowd.
