Beside the world's largest Dala horse, next to national road 70, Avesta has since a few years back built up a pole vaulting facility to pay tribute to Armand Duplantis' successes on the athletics arenas around the world.
The bar is raised for each world record the star takes.
After the World Championship in Tokyo – where he won his career's third straight World Championship gold and improved the world record for the 14th time – it was therefore time for a new visit to Dalarna.
The bar would be sent up to 6.30 meters.
The 25-year-old Duplantis was himself on site. Dressed in a safety harness, he took place in the aerial lift's basket and slowly went upwards to adjust the bar's height to the current world record.
A journey that made the star somewhat scared.
I'm actually a bit scared of heights when there's not a mat underneath, he says.
Armand Duplantis ended the season with the double success in Japan. Previously, he had taken the world record three times during the season, one of which was near his residence at Stockholm Stadium.
