The war in the Middle East has put an end to several competitions - including the F1 races in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
Now Armand Duplantis' Diamond League debut on May 8 in Doha may be canceled.
"The safety of athletes and spectators is our top priority, and we are also exploring alternative solutions with all relevant parties," the Qatar Athletics Federation wrote in a statement.
Information about the gala will be announced no later than April 8.
