The World Indoor Championships will be held in Torun, Poland, on March 20–22. National team captain Kajsa Bergqvist has pre-selected seven athletes for the championship.

World record holder Armand Duplantis is, of course, among them. So is high jumper Louise Ekman.

"From the Swedish elite to the world elite in two months!", says Bergqvist of the Gävle athlete, who recently improved her personal best by five centimetres and is now Sweden's third all-time indoors with 1.96 m.

Other withdrawals:

1,500-metre runners Wilma Nielsen (Hässelby) and Samuel Pihlström (Hälle), as well as shot putters Axelina Johansson (Hässelby), Fanny Roos (Malmö) and Wictor Petersson.
