Arsenal is loaning the former English national team star Raheem Sterling from Chelsea. The loan extends over the current season, but it is uncertain whether the striker wants to return to his former club.
Sterling was bought in 2022 from Manchester City for 50 million pounds, but the new coach Enzo Maresca has recruited eleven players for 200 million pounds for this season and then there was no longer room for the 29-year-old in the squad.
A frustrated Sterling publicly expressed his discontent in a public statement, demanding that Chelsea clarify his situation in the club. And now he's leaving.
Raheem Sterling has made 82 international appearances and was a key player when England reached the European Championship final in 2021. But he has not played for his country since December 2022.
