A 42-year-old man is sentenced to prison after a fatal accident on Nockebybron in Stockholm 2023. A 16-year-old boy died and a 15-year-old girl was injured when they were hit by the man.
The 42-year-old man is sentenced for gross negligence causing death, gross negligence causing bodily harm, gross drunk driving, gross negligence in traffic and hit-and-run. The sentence will be imprisonment for three years and six months.
”There are several aggravating circumstances. The man has driven heavily intoxicated at high speed and has continued driving despite several accidents. He has killed a boy and shown obvious indifference to other people's lives and health”, says judge Elin Tysklind in a press release.
The man will also have to pay damages to the boy's relatives.
