It was at 14 o'clock on Wednesday when the police were to perform a check on a driver in a passenger car along E4 in Söderhamn that the accident occurred.

One suspected how this car was driven. First, one followed after and signaled the car to stop. When that did not help, one drove in front of the car and it was then that it drove into the back of the police car, says the police's press spokesperson Tobias Ahlén-Svalbro.

The driver has now been informed of suspicion of reckless driving, drunk driving, narcotics offense own use and causing bodily harm.

There was only one police officer in the car. He has got back pain and will seek medical care, says Tobias Ahlén-Svalbro.
