"We inform you there is a possible threat to Latvian airspace over the regions of Ludza, Kraslava and Rezekne," the military writes on Facebook .
"As the Russian aggression in Ukraine continues, such cases may recur when a foreign unmanned aerial vehicle enters or approaches Latvian airspace," the military writes.
On Wednesday, residents in parts of neighboring Lithuania were urged to seek shelter due to drone sightings.
Ukraine has escalated its drone attacks against western Russia in recent months. Ukrainian drones have been detected in the airspace of Finland and the Baltic countries on several occasions.
