A soldier fired at the end of September at an unknown drone over a Danish military area, according to sources within the defense. Now, new information shows that a passenger plane was in the area at the time, reports Danish Radio4.

The radio channel reported on the information about the shooting at the Danish military training area Borrislejren on West Jutland already on Thursday, with reference to several sources within the Danish defense.

Now, information from the site Flightradar24 shows that a plane from the Norwegian airline Widerøe passed the nearby village of Borris at 20.06 – and then continued over the military area. The plane flew at an altitude of approximately 2.5 kilometers.

A resident took a picture of what is suspected to have been the drone just before he heard the shot. According to his phone, the picture was taken at 20.05, one minute before the plane passed. The radio channel has not been able to verify what is seen in the picture.

The Danish defense has not commented on the incident. Widerøe states that the company has not been contacted by Danish authorities in the matter.
