The find was made by a civilian on a beach at Pellinge in Porvoo on Tuesday evening.
It does not appear to be a war drone, and it does not pose a danger to others, says Defence Minister Antti Häkkänen to Yle.
According to preliminary information, it is a drone intended for mapping. The drone has fixed wings with a wingspan of a couple of metres, according to the Finnish Border Guard.
We don't know where the drone came from and we can't rule anything out, says Häkkänen.
