The accident happened on Highway 25 in the morning.
The driver was standing outside his truck because there was something wrong with it, says police spokesman Patric Fors.
There was another vehicle behind the truck and it was when the passenger car was about to swerve to avoid it that the driver was hit. It was reportedly slippery in the area.
