The 75-year-old who lost control of his car and drove into several people on Wednesday is suspected of an offence.

The man is charged with driving a car despite illness, weakness or sleep deprivation. Among the suspicions is the Danish equivalent of reckless bodily harm.

He admits to having driven the car, but denies the crime.

On Wednesday, the man lost control of his red car when he pressed the wrong pedal at Sortedam Dossering. Twelve people were hurt, three of them seriously. For one of them, the condition was still critical on Thursday morning.
