Two people died and one was seriously injured when a car drove off the road and into a tree in Gävle in early June. The driver, a woman in her 25s, is now being charged with several crimes, local media reports.

Data from the car shows that it was going 154 kilometers per hour on a 70-km/h road just before the crash in the middle of the night.

The driver is charged with gross negligence in traffic, gross negligence causing the death of another person, gross negligence causing bodily harm and illegal driving, writes Gefle Dagblad .

The woman, who herself was slightly injured, was neither drunk nor under the influence of drugs at the time, but did not have a driver's license.

It is such a conscious risk to drive in this way and she has shown an indifference to the lives of others, which is why I have classified the suspicions as serious, says prosecutor Isak Hardo to P4 Gävleborg .

The deceased were two men in their 20s and the seriously injured person is a woman in her 30s.
