The 46-year-old man is also charged with driving without a valid driver's license, driving without sufficient care and attention, causing bodily harm and damage to property.
The accident occurred in Nigeria, where Briton Anthony Joshua was visiting family and friends. Two people, both trainers and friends of Joshua, died when the car they were travelling in crashed into a stationary truck.
The car was reportedly traveling at high speed, and a tire reportedly exploded before the accident.
The driver and Joshua, who was sitting behind the driver, escaped with minor injuries. The boxing star has been released from the hospital.
