It will be a dream semifinal in the French Championships between world No. 1 Iga Swiatek and third-seeded Coco Gauff.

The Pole won easily her quarterfinal against world No. 6 Marketa Vondrousova with 6–0, 6–2.

In the fourth round, she swept aside Russian Anastasia Potapova with 6–0, 6–0 and looks set to have found her form in pursuit of her third consecutive title at Roland Garros clay.

In Swiatek's path to the final stands her opponent from the 2022 final, Coco Gauff.

The 20-year-old American won her quarterfinal against Ons Jabeur after coming back from a 0–1 set deficit to win 4–6, 6–2, 6–3. It is her third consecutive Grand Slam semifinal.

After the win, the third-seeded Gauff praised her Tunisian opponent in front of the large crowd.

Iga Swiatek has won ten of eleven meetings with Coco Gauff, with the most recent being the semifinal in the Italian Open in mid-May.
