Sweden's U21 men bounced back in the European Championship qualifiers. Against Armenia on Tuesday, Momodou Sonko secured the victory with a dream goal.

During the October gathering, the U21 national football team lost to Poland 0–6 and to Italy 0–4.

But when the national team gathered a month later, the players left with two victories under their belt: First against North Macedonia (4–1) and on Tuesday an odd-goal victory against group giant Armenia.

The only goal of the match was scored by Momodou Sonko after an individual performance with a delicious finish at the far post.

After six matches, Sweden has nine points, and the chance to play in the U21 European Championship in the summer of 2027 is there, although it is small. Poland tops the group (15 points) ahead of Italy (12 points), both of whom have one less match played.

The group winner goes directly to the European Championship, while the runner-up gets a playoff spot.
