For a long time, it looked like Liverpool would give league leaders Arsenal a helping hand in the title race against Manchester City. Then Manchester City turned it around, made it 2-1 and took a narrow victory.

It was 0–0 until the 74th minute, when everything happened - and then some.

Liverpool's Dominik Szoboszlai stepped up first and thundered in a free kick from just over 30 meters.

However, Manchester City responded ten minutes later through Bernardo Silva, who masterfully scored the equalizer.

The decision came in extra time - from the penalty spot. Erling Haaland took responsibility and was ice-cold when he sent it in to make it 2-1.

In the 100th minute, Man City looked to be leading 3–1, but the goal was disallowed and Szoboszlai was instead sent off for an earlier offence.

Man City weathered the last storm, and the gap to league leaders Arsenal is now six points again.
