Just two days ago, Anton Frondell was rewarded with a new contract, after his big breakthrough season in his Djurgården.
And in his first playoff match ever, he paid back directly.
The 17-year-old decided in overtime, after Mora equalized in the match's last minute.
We make it too exciting. We're going to win this and it shouldn't be a fourth period, really. We're sloppy there in the end. But right now, it's incredibly nice, says Frondell to TV4 Play.
Thus, the regular season winner Djurgården leads 1-0 in matches against seventh-placed Mora in the quarterfinals of the HockeyAllsvenskan playoffs.
It wasn't equally exciting in Värmland. Although second-placed Karlskoga was down 0-1 and 1-2 against Oskarshamn, when it was equalized in the middle of the second period, the home team took over.
Karlskoga went up to a 4-2 lead before the second act was over and in the third period, the team extended to the final score 6-2. Kalle Jelvert became a two-goal scorer for Karlskoga.
